How to Write Emails People Actually Open

Your subject line is the first thing people see. Here’s how to make it count without resorting to all caps or “You won’t believe…”

Lead with clarity. Tell people what they’ll get. “3 ways to save an hour this week” beats “This changed everything for me.”

Use the preview text. Many clients show a snippet next to the subject. Use it to complete the thought or add a hook—don’t repeat the subject.

Test one variable at a time. Change only the subject (or only the send time) so you know what actually moved the needle.

We built Bloom to make it easy to try different angles and see what resonates. Start with one of these and iterate.
